The Asteroid belt, discovered in 1801 is disk shaped belt orbiting our sun between Mars and Jupiter. The Asteroid belt consist of particles as small as dust, to Dwarf planets. Including the largest known object in the belt, Ceres. (Containing almost 1/3rd of all of the belts total mass.) The belt contains Asteroids such as Vesta, and Pallas that can be found in our natal chart as well, providing us with very unique and insightful looks at ourselves. Vesta, the asteroid photographed here by NASAβs Dawn spacecraft, is said, in our natal chart, to show us what gives us a spark and ignition for life. Our internal flame that may never go out, as properly named after the Roman goddess of hearth, Vesta. Asteroids are made of metal and rocky material, while comets are mostly dusty material, rock, and ice. There are over 200 asteroids that can be looked into for astrological influence, and over 21,000 named asteroids in our Solar System. The Asteroid belt is believed to be the very little leftover planetesimals from our Solar Systems early formation, with over 99.9% of the original material already being ejected by gravitational interactions.
