Uranus named after the Greek god of the sky, Ouranos, Uranus is the 7th planet from the sun. The only planet in our system named after a Greek god, rather than Roman. All planets in our solar system rotate on their axis, which has a tilt causing one pole of the planet to face further away from the sun, but ultimately most planets appear to spin in a general βsideways spinβ in comparison to the position of our Sun, but Uranus has a tilt of 99 degrees! This causes Uranus to, instead of a rotating similar to a spinning top along side the other planets, it appears to roll like a ball through itβs orbit. Uranus is the second planet in our solar system with a famous ring system, with 13 known district rings, the brightest ring is known as the epsilon ring, with some of itβs 27 known moons hidden among them. Uranus can be associated to concepts such as, radical thinking, breakthroughs, reconstruction, self discovery, inner truth, quest for freedom, faith in ones soul purpose, karma, and merging of both soul and physical body. In astrology the sign Uranus was in on the day of your birth is said to represent in which ways you are able to rebel, revolutionize, release limitations, and discover your own freedom of self. In modern astrology Uranus rules the zodiac sign: Aquarius. Glyph - β
